In the year 2086, massive media companies, in an effort to maintain control and power of ownership and distribution, have removed and destroyed most copies of original music recordings from public access, and have used AI to replace them with artificial versions. Even public archives have been altered so that collective memory of the originals would begin to fade from people’s minds.
Hackers and surviving fans of Linkin Park have formed an underground movement called “Street Soldiers 2.0” and have managed to obtain fragments of the original recordings. With the use of these remaining fragments, Cyber Theory, a mashup tribute to the band and their successful debut album was born.
